Your chef on demand
Everyone, sooner or later, has dreamt to have a real special dinner ready at home. Not any dinner though, a dinner prepared by a chttp://www.ducciopistolesi.com/chef-of-tuscany/index.php/en/contactshef, with a menu selected by a chef, a top class wines selection, a fabulous dessert, an original and unique recipes selection. The quality of a luxury restaurant in the calmness of home: this is what does mean booking a chef on demand.
The first step is to decide together with my guests the menu, on the basis of their preferences, of the season, of the combinations and of the location. If we are on the sea, a tasty fish menu will be ideal. If we are in the heart of the country, meat, mushrooms, truffles, game will for sure fit better. I have also great experience in creating vegetarian and vegan menus, tank to the richness of the country Tuscan cuisine, all based upon vegetables.
Over the years I have also collected the best of the recipes belonging to the culinary Tuscan Jewish traditionsand I have the chance to be followed by a Mashgiach while preparing kosher menus.
The menu will be fully customised for and lunch or dinner..I will act like a tailor: I listen, observe, think, sew.
How does it work? After having decided together the menu, I will take care of selecting the ingredients, always top quality ones, from local productions. If I am abroad, I will try to purchase the best products of the Italian tradition I can find and local fresh vegetables and fruit. It is not that easy to cook abroad following the Italian style, but not impossible. Usually, if I am travelling round the world, I will knead and cook bread by myself, trying to offer freshly cooked bread with Italian taste together with my menu.
Once reached the customer’s residence (that can also be a country house, a residence by the sea or on a mountain, a yacht, a lodge: any kind of private residence, for summer or winter in the world), I will take care of the equipment, of the preparation, of cooking and of table service. In the event of a high number of guests, I have the chance to take my souschefs, sommeliers and water team, in order to ensure an excellent service, in terms of quality and timing.
